Since 2003, Maq’Exe has designed and made high-end models and prototypes for the perfume, cosmetics and spirits industries. Based in Andilly, 20 minutes from Paris, we offer a workshop equipped with the latest CNC machines and a team of experienced model makers.

Perfume bottle models

Our core business is making bottle prototypes for perfume and cosmetics. Every bottle model we produce is machined with extreme precision to reproduce the original design faithfully: the transparency of glass, reflections, proportions and weight in the hand.

We work with PMMA (Plexiglas), resin, metal and other materials to reproduce every type of bottle: sprays, stoppered bottles, roll-ons, bespoke fragrance bottles. Our bottle models are used by marketing departments and management committees to approve the design before industrialisation.

Our prototypes of caps, closures and accessories are made to the same level of finish, so that they fit the bottle perfectly for a realistic presentation.

Maq’Exe specialises in giant dummies (factices) and bespoke displays for point-of-sale advertising. Our oversized dummies reproduce your products on a large scale with striking realism: exact colours, finishes identical to the real product, durable materials.

Our giant dummies are designed to enhance your window displays, bring your points of sale to life and make an impression at trade shows. Whether it is a giant perfume bottle, an oversized make-up palette or a large-format champagne bottle, we master the techniques of enlargement while staying true to the original product.

We also make glorifiers, counter displays and decorative elements for department store windows and brand corners.

Packaging and cases

Packaging models are one of Maq’Exe’s specialities. We make prototypes of cartons, gift boxes, boxes and cases with meticulous attention to materials, colours and finishes.

From board to textured paper, from debossing to hot-foil gilding, embossing and screen printing, we master every finishing technique to give you a result true to the final product. Each packaging model is designed to be presented to management, sales teams or distribution partners.

We work closely with design agencies and project managers to ensure that every packaging prototype reflects the brand’s creative vision exactly.

In the luxury industry, time to market is often very tight. Maq’Exe meets this demand with a rapid prototyping service that combines responsiveness with flawless quality.

Our CNC machines and streamlined organisation let us deliver high-quality prototypes in very short lead times, including urgent requests. We understand the constraints of product launches and marketing presentations that cannot wait.

A bottle prototype or a packaging mock-up can be made in just a few days, without ever compromising the quality of the result.

Colour and material are decisive in the world of luxury. Maq’Exe has recognised expertise in faithfully reproducing shades, textures and material effects for a result identical to the final mass-produced product.

Lacquer, brushed metal, frosted glass, precious woods, leather, mother-of-pearl: we reproduce every material effect with remarkable precision. Our colour samples are calibrated to match your Pantone references or your own colour charts exactly.

This mastery of colour ensures that your models and prototypes faithfully reflect your brand’s visual identity, from the subtlest shade to the most complex surface effect.

What are your lead times?

Most of our models and prototypes are delivered in less than a week. For more complex projects or small series, the lead time is set out in the quote.

How quickly will I receive a quote?

Within one working day of receiving your request and the project files.

What do you need to get started?

A 3D file (STEP, STL…), drawings, a sketch or even a photo. If needed, our design office handles the 3D modelling.

Are my projects kept confidential?

Yes. Our clients’ files, visuals and models stay in the workshop and are never shown without their consent.

Which materials do you work with?

Plexiglas, resin, metal, wood, stone, cardboard, paper, leather, fabric and pigments, with every finish: lacquer, metallisation, gilding, screen printing, UV printing.
