Maq’Exe is a model-making workshop in Andilly, Val-d’Oise, 20 minutes from Paris. Since 2003 we have made models, prototypes and mock-ups for perfume, cosmetics and spirits houses.
What a model maker does
A model maker turns an idea into an object. From a sketch, a drawing or a 3D file, we make a piece identical to the future product: same shape, same weight in the hand, same colours, same reflections. These models are used to approve a design, present a project, photograph a product before production or dress a window.
In our workshop, our team of model makers combines 3D modelling, CNC machining, 3D printing and laser engraving with finishing done entirely by hand: sanding, polishing, lacquering, colour matching and assembly.
A 300 m² workshop on the doorstep of Paris
Our workshop in Andilly, between Lake Enghien and the Montmorency forest, is about twenty minutes from Paris. Being this close lets us work hand in hand with luxury houses and design agencies in Paris and the Île-de-France region: regular meetings, workshop visits and fast prototype approvals.
We also work for clients all over France and abroad, with the same confidentiality.
